1970 Dodge Challenger R/T

Introduced in late 1969 for the 1970 model year, the Challenger was seen as Dodge's answer to the Mustang and Camaro. It was one of two Chrysler E-body cars, the other being the slightly smaller Plymouth Barracuda. The Challenger and Barracuda were available in a staggering number of trim and option levels and were intended to compete against the aforementioned muscle cars, and to do it while offering virtually every engine in Chrysler's inventory.

Mecum Auctions will be offering this example at their upcoming Indy auction between the 16-20th May, its estimated value is between $110,000 – $130,000. For more information on this and other vehicles at the sale, click on the link below. Photos courtesy of Mecum Auctions.
