'The future ain’t the same as it used to be' by Chris Labrooy
Chris Labrooy returns with his latest piece highly original car based animation, titled ‘The future ain’t the same as it used to be.’ The animated short features an array of classic cars including BMW, Chevrolet, Jaguar, Mercedes and Porsche, to name a few. We also revisit a familiar California-like setting, reminiscent of Labrooy’s previous work, with playful Porsche inflatables and E-Type based sculptures.
In Labrooy’s own words, “the irreverent meets the sublime in this animated short film that follows an all star automotive cast from around the world. Elegant British classics mixed with inflatable German auto’s and chopped up American metal.”
