Miami Art Machine
During last year’s Art Basel Miami, graffiti artist Alec Monopoly unveiled his take on an art car, this spray painted McLaren 720S. Commissioned by 1016 Industries, an aftermarket supercar carbon fibre manufacturer, the McLaren was one of the many now traditional art cars showcased during the festival in Miami.
Using the white 720S as a blank canvas, Alec made his mark using colourful characters such as the Monopoly man and Richie Rich appearing on opposite sides of the car, together with currency symbols, dollar bills and the familiar ‘ALEC’ tag.
