Golden Legend

Few cars encapsulate Ferrari's racing heritage like the Ferrari 250 GT LWB Berlinetta ‘Tour de France’ (TdF). Renowned for its striking Scaglietti design and proven success, this exceptional example boasts a unique story and remarkable preservation.

Originally delivered in an exquisite one-off Oro Chiaro over Bordeaux leather, this TdF was commissioned for two-time Italian National Road Racing Champion Casimiro Toselli. It debuted in hillclimbs across Italy in 1958, including a victory at the Aosta-Pila Hillclimb, showcasing both its driver’s skill and Ferrari’s engineering prowess.

In 1960, the car competed in the World Sportscar Championship, finishing 3rd in class at the 1000 KM Buenos Aires. It later passed through the hands of elite Ferrari collectors, including Pierre Bardinon and Comte Frederic Chandon de Briailles, cementing its status as a coveted treasure.

It’s one of only 28 single-louver, covered-headlight TdFs and remains remarkably original. It bridges the past and present, embodying Ferrari’s ethos: a grand tourer that races with ferocity and returns home in style.
